Consequences
The illustration focuses on mainly two of the communication ethics which are plagiarism and stereotypes. I wanted to show the consequences of acting on those two ethics the right way and the wrong way. The girl on the top is more relaxed and seems more optimistic as she takes the ethical steps to do her assignments and when faced with biased stereotypes- she does not heed them. She chooses to use logic & facts to think and allows the other person to show her who they are.
However, the girl on the bottom is overwhelmed and tired, as she faces nights where she is stuck in a cycle of plagiarism as it has become a habit for her. She constantly relies on others for answers, submits them as her own work without giving credit as she no longer puts in the effort to come up with something original. Furthermore, she is faced with stereotypes and believes that she won't be able to do certain things as "people like her" can't do it. The mirror represents how one person throwing stereotypes at others will eventually return to them and hurt them the same way.

Mascots
The Association of Banks in Singapore Mascot Competition
I chose an owl as the mascot is because they are usually presented to be wise creatures and I wanted a character that is adamant about protecting what is important to them. Ollie personifies vigilance with his futuristic glasses and magnifying glass, enhancing his vision to assist others in fact-checking and identifying potential frauds before they can fall victim to one. His high-tech tools remind others to stay ahead of evolving online scams. Ollie’s trusty work bag, secured by a shield-shaped lock with a dollar keyhole design represents his determination to safeguard people's finances online.

Top 13
I was inspired by SGO’s tree-like logo and thought that a tree could represent inclusivity without gender references. It is unique in terms of the asymmetrical branches on its head which highlights the beauty in imperfections. The red gloves symbolize the determination to take action and SGO’s logo on its clothes represents the community. The mascot is a resilient one, that would inspire others to stay strong despite the challenges they face. It relates to the theme as the mascot reflects a tree’s ability to age gracefully despite continuously branching out in new directions and just like how a tree can thrive in the right conditions, anyone can make a change too regardless of their age. It also relates to the goal through its cheerful demeanour and a shining star on its left branch, which serves as a reminder to keep a positive outlook in life.
